Delivering for someone else
For Partners and consultants implementing Buildkite for customers
Assumes the [Running the platform](/paths/running-the-platform) path. These two modules cover only what is different about delivery.
The distinction that runs through both: doing an implementation once is platform engineering, and doing it repeatedly for organisations whose constraints you did not choose is a different discipline. What travels between engagements is usually the reasoning, not the artefact.
It ends on conduct, which is not padding. A partner credential is a claim about you that a customer relies on, and the ways it can be misrepresented are specific and worth naming.
Modules, in order
What transfers between customer implementations, what must be rebuilt, and how to standardise without hard-coding one customer's assumptions.
Leaving an implementation the customer's own team can operate, extend and debug without you.
